DAY TWO: LAFAYETTE TO AMARILLO, TX

Ahhh, my favorite portion of the drive...NOT. It was quite a relief to get out of Louisiana, but Texas isn't much better. The top picture is of the Dallas skyline as we came in to the city, and the above picture is at the Texas Visitor's center just over the border.
We stopped in Amarillo, and although we had a long drive, we hit the BIG TEXAN steakhouse.

The food was amazing as always. Well, off to bed for another long drive.
