Day one...Lafayette, Louisiana
Well, after a bit over 12 hours of driving, we are in Lafayette, Louisiana. The hotel isn't too shabby for as cheap as it is, but Louisiana in general is kind of nasty. The roads are terrible, the people are odd, and the scenery is typical southern bayou scenery...cypress and water. Boring.
